The house of Fendi actually dates its origins back to the year 1918, when a woman by the name of Adele Casagrande first opened a fur and leather products boutique in central Rome. However; it was after she became married to a business man and fellow designer by the name of Eduardo Fendi that the enterprise began to experience any measure of real success. It also must be noted that along with a change in Adele’s last name to Fendi, the business also underwent the same name change.
Second Boutique Opened in 1932
As time progresses it found the couple opening yet another boutique in another area of Rome called Via Piave, in the year 1932. Eventually, the entire family including their daughters Paola, Alda, Franca, Carla and Anna were all involved in some capacity in the thriving family business.
International Recognition
